Fasting - Traditional American Chef Salad

You could also pack this salad as a Mason Jar salad with the dressing on the bottom and layer in this way:

- Cucumbers
- Tomatoes
- Greens
Traditional Chef Salad
Ingredients
- Chopped romaine (1-2 handfuls per person
- Shredded cabbage
- 1/4 cup chopped tomato
- 1/4 cup chopped cucumber
- Thinly Sliced red onion
- 1 stalk celery
- 1 small carrot, shredded
Animal Protein: 2 ounces of Nitrite Turkey or Wellshire Farm Uncured Turkey Ham steak
Vegan Protein: 1 cup of your favorite beans and 2 Tablespoons Sunflower seeds
Real Ranch Dressing serves 4
- 1 cup organic plain kefir or yogurt
- 1 cup organic mayo or veganaise
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Celtic sea salt or Himalayan pink salt to taste
- White pepper to taste
Whisk all together, add to salad and toss
NOTE: If you want to use a prepared dressing look for one with no dairy or chemical preservatives and try to find one with no soybean or canola oil.
