Our first priority is to help you get results. But no system in the world can be successful without your willingness to put time and effort into it.

Although the "BeNourished4Life" online courses are designed to support change and improvement in your health and wellness, there is one element we can not give you--that is ' caring about yourself.'

In our families and philosophies, we are often taught to care for our family, our neighbors, our work, and everything else but ourselves. Gratefully, God desires and gives us permission to take care of our own health and wellness.

I pray that in all things you continue to prosper and enjoy good health... 3 John 1:2

Here is a repeat of the 'How to Get Results' list, shown in the video above:

  1. Care about yourself. You're important to everyone, along with your dreams and talents.
  2. Don't focus on everything at once. Pick something that is clicking with your mind and heart and go with it. Change is about consistency.
  3. Realize that God has plans for your talents. Your visions and talents bless others, so don't bury them under chronic illness.
  4. Believe that people need you and that they want you to be well with them. Time goes fast, so make the most of it through the freedom of wellness.
  5. You are not your own. Your body is a temple from a loving Heavenly Father, and you have a responsibility to honor that gift. 1 Cor 6:19-20.
  6. Do your reading and homework daily. The course is designed to help you keep good habits 'top-of-mind' in your daily routines. It is extremely important to be true to yourself in this one point. We worked hard to make sure the workload averaged about 20-30 minutes per day.
  7. Find your 'Trump' card. A trump card, is a card that will outrank all of the other cards. People often say, "It's time to play your trump card." In life, a trump card is often your most powerful motivation. For example: If you are trying to quit smoking, your trump card might be that you want to live for your grandchildren. Having a trump card can help you hang in there when the going is tough.
  8. Don't Give UP!! The group is here to help you, we're here to support you. If you feel like giving up talk to someone in the course. We know that you can do this.
  9. Open your mind up to new concepts. People often don't even try something because they have been taught by social structures to belief only one way of understanding something. Just because it sounds crazy, doesn't mean it won't work. These are proven principles that have worked with real principles. Give them a chance, and you'll be glad you did.
  10. Remember that God desires you to have good health. You were created to be wonderfully well. It wasn't in the divine plan to have everyone walking around tired, sick, and fat. God didn't make a mistake when he put his children's bodies together. It's a lie that chronic illness is something that needs to just be maintained. So decide to take advantage of this principle.

Bonus Principle

Find a "Wellness Buddy." What is a Wellness Buddy? It's another student who is willing to give you support. They can help to hold you accountable. Plus, they can share their experiences and struggles with you so that you don't feel like you're the only one.
